Quarry Services

We supply various sizes of granite aggregates, bituminous macadam and asphaltic concrete and also undertake road construction works. The supply goes to builders and contractors who use them to build roads, highways, railway tracks, bridges, houses, shopping malls, schools and other buildings and structures.

Our quarry site which is currently leased from Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Kedah (PKNK) since 1970s, is strategically located at Bukit Perak, in the district of Pendang, Kedah within 50km near the centre of development in the surrounding area namely Kulim, Kuala Muda, Kota Setar and Kubang Pasu.

The quarry has the capacity of producing 100,000 tones of granite crushed aggregates per month and the granite mined at this quarry has a minimal content of silica, regarded as high quality in construction. We also have two (2) units of asphaltic plants at the quarry with a total capacity of producing 2,500 tones of bituminous mixed per day.

​At BDB, we produce an uncompromised quality of asphalt bituminous through our heavy duty premix plant; Linhoff MSD 2500 Batching Plant and PPP 250 Drum Mix. Linhoff MSD 2500 Batching Plant has the capacity to produce 1500 tons of premix daily while PPP 250 Drum Mix Plant has the capacity to produce 2500 tons of premix daily. 

In early 2017, BDB has begun the operation of a new plant in Kulim area, which called Kulim Kedah Premix Plant. The opening of the plant is to cater to the demands of customers from Central and Southern Kedah, Penang, and Northern Perak. The plant is equipped with the latest Asphalt Batching Plant – Model 200 TPH LBD 2500 that produces approximately 1500 tons of premix per day.
